Originals
The original of each work is generally purchased by Collect World Art. The web page for each piece indicates whether the original is available for sale. If the piece is marked “sold” or “unavailable” it may still be possible for us to acquire a similar piece in the same style from the artist or limited edition prints may still be available. You could also consider commissioning the artist to create a new piece for you (see Commissioned Works below). The originals in our collections are on display at galleries or held at our art loft in New Rochelle, NY.

Limited Edition Prints “Exhibit Print” is the name we give to the beautiful limited edition prints that we produce using only the finest artistic and technical reproduction processes (see below for details of our Exhibit Print Process). We only print in small editions. In addition, each print can be customized to your own preferences as to size and substrate (e.g. canvas or fine art paper). These custom-made prints are produced with archival inks that are warranted to last at least 100 years. The prints are hard to distinguish from the originals.
Why not request a Preview Print to see the extraordinary quality of our prints.

Commissioned Works
We are in regular contact with the artists we represent and most are open to commissions. Just let us know the artist you like, the kind of piece you want and we will be happy to facilitate the commission. Quotations on projects are available free of charge by contacting us at info@collectworldart.com or 914-576-7866.

Exhibit Print Process
Our Exhibit Print process is as follows:
Discovery: We carefully select the works and ship them to the US. On arrival we check the original painting for dust and physical debris.
Capture. The highest quality scan possible is created using the Cruse CS 285 ST wide format scanner, generating a file of approximately 200-400MB (that's a very big scan!). An artist, who has 18 years of experience in the necessary technical and industrial design skills, creates the scan. He uses the Cruse's SynchronT table system, which involves a patented moving table design.
Color Match. The scan is color corrected to exactly match the colors of the original image using a spectrophotometer, hardware and software. A “printers proof” is then printed on canvas or fine art paper to confirm the color matching. We generally provide the “printers proof” to the artist for verification purposes.
Optimization. We carefully check each scan to ensure that there are no blemishes, dust or debris in the scan. We make any corrections to the scan that are required using software.
Customization. Each print is custom-made to order. Each customer can select the size and substrate (e.g. canvas, fine art paper) for their print.
Printing. The prints are made using “giclée” large format printers. The printers spray millions of droplets of archival quality ink per second onto fine art canvas or artist paper specially coated to accept the inks. The ink jets are smaller than a human hair and spray inks at a rate of 4 million dots per second. The spray of ink itself is so fine - 1.5 microns which is smaller than a red blood cell - that the droplets cannot be seen by the naked eye. The finished image is made up of close to 20 billion dots of ink. The print process is capable of producing a combination of 12 chromatic changes and more than 3 million colors. A border sufficient for framing surrounds the print.
Finishing. An acid-free, satin artist’s varnish is then applied as the finish to each canvas print. Paper prints are not varnished as they will most likely be framed under a glazed surface.
Certification. Each Exhibition Print comes with a certificate verifying that it is a Limited Edition Print and the size of the edition. |
